Go to the page you want altered, select Chrome Toolbar's 'Hamburger button' (3 horizontal lines). If you add a folder to the Bookmarks Bar, you can place bookmarks in it. Those bookmarks will have site specific favicons, if you visit those sites often. There are some folders added to the Bookmarks by default like Popular,News,etc. I was aware that there are third party apps that will add favicons to the Bookmarks Bar. I do not use any of them. Step 3: Right-click entries on the right to Edit or Delete. You can change the name of the bookmark to help differentiate it from another or fix typos.

Organizing the bookmarks manually will definitely work better on a smaller scale. If you are dealing with massive amounts of bookmarks, turning to a third-party tool is still an option. However, manually managing your bookmarks gives you an opportunity to find dead links, replace them with an updated link, and know exactly which bookmarks are being removed.
